Being able to understand native speaker is as important as being able to communicate. If the students can understand the teacher during a Callan Method lesson, it will help them understand native speakers in other settings. This is because Callan teachers speak quickly and use contractions in the way native speakers do when they speak naturally. 3) In a Callan method lesson the teacher correct the students' grammatical mistakes and pronunciation errors. It is important for the student to learn from the correction and recognize common errors, doing extra practice at home where necessary. A Callan Method lesson should be an experience in English for the students. It is important that students don't translate or speak in their own language during the lesson. By thinking and speaking in English, the students will find that they improve very quickly. 4) A Callan Method lesson should be an experience in English for the students.
