General Information
The School is open between the hours of 8.00am and 8.30pm from Monday to Friday, except public holidays. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes. Beginner’s classes start on Mondays. Students are advised, before paying, to confirm that classes at their level are available.
Students' attendance and holidays
Students can take a holiday for a minimum of five days providing that the School has been notified in advance, otherwise the lessons are lost (including absence due to illness or any other reasons). On their return they may not be able to join the same class if it is full.
Students are expected to attend the lessons regularly and on time. Those who do not attend the School regularly may be required to change the time and the class. If students do not come to the School for five consecutive days, they will automatically be removed from the class register.
Visa students
Students are required to have a minimum attendance of 80%. Students will be deemed to abandon a course, if their attendances fall below the required 80% minimum attendance. In such cases no refunds will be made in accordance with the School’s Terms and Conditions. Students are obliged to study fifteen hours per week daytime. They can take a two-week holiday for every three months they pay for.
Refunds
A refund can be received if students are unable to complete the course. The School will only charge them for the lessons they have taken. The refund rate will be calculated according to the number of weeks students have done, and not according to how long they paid for.
Please note that registration fees are not refundable and a £15.00 administration fee will be charged for any refunds.
Fees for visa-students are not transferable to other students or refundable, except where a student’s visa is refused and written evidence from the British Immigration Authorities is produced.
Original start dates cannot be altered by the students unless the School has been notified in advance and has been given a valid reason for the change.
In any other circumstances a refund will be considered at the School’s discretion.
Cancelled lessons
In cases where the School has to cancel a lesson, students will receive a free lesson. If there are less than four students in the class the course can be altered or cancelled on terms agreed with the School. The School reserves the right to change the times of courses and their duration.
Conduct
Students are asked:
- to be punctual for the lesson,
- not to speak their own language during lessons,
- not to smoke in the School,
- to switch off mobile phones during lessons.
Students whose behaviour distracts other students and/or causes distress to our staff will be asked to leave the School.
Valuable items
Students are also reminded not to leave bags and valuable items unattended in the classrooms during the breaks. The School takes no responsibility for items stolen or lost while left unattended on the premises.
