Useful resources to learn English on line
Internet and our Smartphones or tables can be great allies for learning English. Today we would like to suggest some resources that you can find online to improve your English skills. Take a look of them and practise English anywhere!
- 'The phonemic chart' App. It is very useful to focus on the sounds which you have difficulty.You can practice all the sounds of the English language with this.
- Online listening activities on British council website. They offer a lot of exercises for different English Levels.
- Watch British TV and listen British Radio on line. Although you can chose between a variety of channels and radio stations, the BBC iPlayer is recommended:
- TED Talks. A great website to listen presentations in English. You can find very interesting videos about hundreds of topics.
- Download audiobooks on Amazon App. It is a good way to improve your listening and pronunciation. There are free audiobooks available but some you have to pay for.
- Listening to audiobooks on ‘Penguin readers’ website. You will probably know these books because they are very popular among English learners. On the website you can listen to the audio at the same time as you read the book. This will help you to recognise words or sentences and improve your comprehension.
- Do simple crosswords, which you can find online, to build vocabulary. You can also expand vocabulary as this will teach you many synonyms.
- Play and learn with Doulingo. Have you tried this website? It´s a good way to practise English while having fun.
