ABC School - Blog
Nicolas Cazale 1
We have interviewed our lovely student Nicolas about his experience in London and at ABC School of English. We have learnt his opinion about the school and the city and we have got to know him better. Thank you for taking the time to do the interview,
  • Could you please tell me something about yourself: studies, job, hobbies, and dreams?
When I was 12 years old, I lived in a small village with my dad who was a grocer and my dream was to work with him. One day, my English teacher said to me “you have to learn English because it is important”. For me it was like a joke. I did not care about learning English. But at 12 years old I didn’t know that at 18 I would want to become an artist. I am an artist now and I work all around the world and I need to speak English. My teacher was right.
  • Why did you decide to come to London?
I have been living for 9 years in the middle of nowhere, just to focus on my work and now it is time for me to share my work. I think London is a good place to do that because I find people here are open-minded and it is easy to meet people.
  • How do you find life in London?
Not difficult. I am in the habit of travelling and make myself comfortable with different people. However, my main concern was how my kids would manage. We have been here for 2 months now and they are very happy here. I think London is a good city to live in.
  • Why did you choose ABC school?
Because of the teachers. To be honest, it would have been easier for me to go to a school closer to my house but I didn’t feel the teachers in that school were good enough. Here, the teachers are very good and concerned about their progress.
  • What’s your opinion of the Callan Method course?
The Callan Method is perfect for learning vocabulary, idioms and grammatical structures. You learn without the feeling of learning. Sometimes, however, I would like to develop my own sentences and I am a little bit frustrated.
  • What are your plans for the future?
Find a gallery, be fluent in English, get an agent for castings in English and to carry on writing scripts and trying to put them into production. Ok Nicolas, thank you for your time!
