Parade

Join the London’s biggest street party with Caribbean dances, food, live music and great time dancing. This is a fantastic opportunity to get to know the city. You cannot miss it!

Watch colourful costumed performers, dance with the sound of Caribbean music and enjoy such an unique festival in the world through the streets of West London. The Notting Hill Carnival has been taking place on the August bank holiday weekend since the 1960s, It is know as the second largest carnival in the world. It is just amazing.

Time-Table

The great parade begins at 10 am on Sunday and Monday, and it finishes around 6.30 pm. The main parade starts on Great Western Road, going its way to Chepstow Road, then on Westbourne Grove and going down Ladbroke Grove.

The one of Sunday 26 is more a family day, while the one on Monday 27 is more hard-party parade. Both deserved to watch and enjoy.

How to get there

The nearest tube stations without any complications are Holland Park, Bayswater and Paddington, they will be opened as usual. Although Ladbroke Grove will be closed for both days and Latimer Road will close at 11:30 pm during the both days. The famous Notting Hill Gate station will be exit only from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.

Top-Tips

Bring water and snacks so it’s supposed to be a big parade where you will need to be full of energy.

Wear comfortable footwear so you will be spending the most of the time stand up, walking or even dancing!

Bring your phone with 100% of battery because you will spend the day taking so many pictures and videos.

And the most important tip is just have fun and enjoy such an unique parade, do not hesitate to ask about the costumes and taking pictures with the stars of the carnival.
