Student of the month interview We have interviewed our student of the month Tatiana about her experience in London and at ABC School of English. We have learnt her opinion about the school and the city and we have got to know her better. Could you please tell me something about yourself: studies, job, hobbies, and dreams? I am from Colombia. I studied Law at university and specialised in economic law and international trade. I love reading, dancing, going to do the gym and the cinema. I dream of travelling around the world and be able to do my job in English. Why did you decide to come to London? It was a family decision. We thought it´d be a good experience for our family and it could be a great chance to improve our English. My husband is the Director of ProChile in London. How do you find life in London? I find life in London really nice. I love my life here. At the beginning it is hard if your English isn´t good but then when you get used to communicating it gets better. When I came I wanted to meet women from different countries. I have met them and now I have friends from different places. London is a city where you always find things to do, it is impossible to be bored or sad. I love the weather. Many people said London has a terrible weather but for me is fine: not to hot or too cold. The hardest thing for me is that life happens very fast. I enjoy eating scones, having afternoon teas, parks, museums, restaurants, theatres, trips, etc. Why did you choose ABC school? Just intuition. What’s your opinion of the Callan Method? Callan Method is a good way to learn English, fast and fun and very good for beginners. I ‘m sure Mr. Callan was very intelligent. For people like me it is perfect. We practice and practice every day and have a great time. What are your plans for the future? One of the most important things I have learnt in my life is living without future plans, enjoying every single day, trusting the next day will be better than the last. You never know what is going to happen so I think my plan is only being happy.
