Olivier marion 2
Could you tell us a bit more about yourself? My name is Olivier, an 18 years old French student currently studying economics/accountancy/marketing in France, more precisely in Nantes. I’m a videogames aficionado and I like traveling in new places to enhance my culture but also to improve the languages I’m learning as well as the ones I would like to master. Why did you choose London? How long have you lived here for? Do you like it so far? I’m on an internship for two months, so I looked a place worth for this relatively short duration, and still near home as it’s my first experience alone abroad. Moreover, I chose London because this city is a melting pot where I can encounter lots of different cultures and speak English with people. What three things would you recommend doing in London? The very first one I’d recommend is to visit the surroundings of ABC School, take a sandwich at Franx’s, go shopping at Forbidden planet, and then try a Callan Method course! The second one would be to go visit Covent Garden, Piccadilly Circus, Notting Hill and Fulham! And last but not least, I’d recommend everyone go to visit the Harry Potter Warner Bros Studios! Is this internship your first experience abroad? How do you feel about it? This internship isn’t my first experience abroad, as I’ve already been to China, Oman and United States of America, but it’s my first one alone, and the first one with such a long duration. I feel excited to discover the maximums things in London, and England in general, and I’m feeling good since I can practice an authentic English... Why do you think you will benefit from doing this internship? I’ll become more organised, more patient, and learn to be a little more mature and less messy in my work. I also think I’ll increase my general knowledge of the professional world. What is your plan after the internship? My plan after this internship is to continue my studies and to graduate in economics to become an economy teacher in universities. Would you recommend this experience to young people like you? I absolutely recommend this experience, as it helps you to progress in English and also to become more mature.
